UAS Data Analytics for Emergency Response Level I is a 1-day, instructor-led course that builds foundational skills for state, local, tribal, and territorial (SLTT) responders to process, analyze, and apply UAS-derived data in support of emergency response operations. Participants develop practical skills through applied exercises using real-world datasets and operational scenarios.
Learners organize and interpret UAS imagery and video, apply basic data processing workflows, and perform introductory analysis to generate usable information products. Through guided, hands-on activities, participants produce outputs that support situational awareness and operational decision-making.
The course emphasizes consistent workflows, data accuracy, and effective integration of UAS-derived information within the FEMA Response mission area, strengthening situational assessment and operational coordination. By the end of the course, participants are prepared to produce and apply reliable, mission-relevant data products that support informed decision-making in dynamic response environments. There are no pre-reqs for this course.
